voxelviewer Z-sectioning, the acquisition of images at different focal positions is used to image three-dimensional specimens. The VoxelViewer renders the resulting z-stacks as three-dimensional objects and iso-surfaces. They can be zoomed and rotated as users desire and measured three-dimensionally to obtain position and distance. Rotation can be animated as well.
3D 3D is the new and powerful software solution for three-dimensional processing, display and evaluation of two-dimensional image information. Its ergonomic functions and flexible project management provides the professional user as well as the computer neophyte with the ability to reconstruct even the most complex models, giving the user easy access to spatial interior views of structures which until now were extremely difficult to attain. The module 3D’s conceptional structure and logical function series mirrors typical three-dimensional reconstruction stages. The software takes the user step-by-step from the plane-stack management, height scaling and alignment via convenient polygon generation all the way to automatic triangulation of surfaces. Numerous options support individual processing and man-agement of 3-D objects. The 3D object manager thus provides a flexible assignment of 3-D objects to different projects. Even within single pro-jects, 3D offers the greatest flexibility: drag&drop operations and context-sensitive menus make data access immediate and convenient; the number of plane-stack and other 3-D objects processed within one workspace is arbitrary. Intelligent referencing of grouped data results in finely tuned reconstruction and no subsequent time-wasting correction is necessary. As such, any alterations to the alignment of a plane-stack are automatically applied to the reconstructed model. Moreover, 3-D objects can be cloned and combined in groups for a comprehensive view of them. Specially designed rendering and anima-tion options result in a visual optimization of models and even support saving of animation sequences as single images. Due to its flexible conception, 3D is suitable for electron-microscopical as well as light-microscopical images. 3D’s functions thus give the user access to a whole spectrum of applications from materials science to bio-medicine.
Imaging C Imaging C provides users with the C programming language and high-performance image-processing libraries containing more than 8000 commands. Windows API commands and commands from external DLLs are supported. This software extension includes a compiler and a debugger. Programs created using imaging C can be run as add-ins in Scandium.
