As a member of our development team, software developers (SWDs) at OSIS are active in the following areas: applications, databases, core software as well as set-up programming. SWDs develop, document and test program modules, software components and entire applications including controllable hardware components such as cameras, microscopes and scanning stages. The applications SWDs work on are used worldwide in a broad variety of research and industrial application areas. These include medical/life science, materials analysis/quality control as well as user networking with databases and via the internet. The qualifications of SWDs consist of, among other things, extensive familiarity with object-oriented programming in C++, good familiarity with MFC / ATL and with WIN32-API for developing applications for Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP, extensive familiarity of GUI programming (user interfaces and component software) under MS Windows, familiarity with .Net, ActiveX, experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or Microsoft Visual C++ along with a good mastery of the English language (oral and written).
